The last person t o respond t o a toast was M r s . Elizabeth B . Coville, '8 9 , whose theme w a s "Cornell Men." Very pretty were t h e tributes s h e paid them. She told of her own experiences as a student in th e College of Architecture and said in conclusion that t h e Cornell man is a splendid citizen, a loyal friend and " a husband beyond compare."
Frederick V . Coville, '8 7 , followed his wife and in a witty little speech nominated D r. L. O. Howard asthe candidate o f t h e Washington alumni for re-election a s trustee o f t h e Uni- versity. D r . Howard thanked h im fo r the honor, saying that he would be glad to serve another term if the opportunity were
